The exhibition is inspired by the collaborative work between interior designer Amy McFadden and curator Beth Kantrowitz. For this exhibition, they have put together a selection of paintings by seven artists that they combine with elements from a home – couches, rugs and decor – shown with the art, creating a way for people to visualize making art a part of their home.

About Beth Kantrowitz and Amy McFadden

Beth Kantrowitz is an independent curator and art consultant in the Northeast and the co-director of Drive-by Projects in Watertown, MA and the previously acclaimed Allston Skirt Gallery in Boston. With 20+ years of experience working with artists of all media, Beth has a multi-faceted perspective on the arts community, representing emerging and mid-career contemporary artists from the Northeast. Currently, Beth has two other curated shows on view: ‘Visible Selves’ at the Ishibashi Gallery at Middlesex School in Concord, MA and ‘Wall Flower’ at Jameson and Thompson Picture Framers in Jamaica Plain.

Amy McFadden is a leader in Boston’s interior design world for more than 20 years. Honored to be trusted with their homes, Amy works closely with her clients to design and oversee the development of kitchens, bathrooms, and entire home renovations – allowing the homeowner’s aesthetic and discerning taste to guide her. Her designs have a clean aesthetic and aren’t over-styled. Amy was a long-standing member of the National Remodelers Association (2008-2019) and served on the board of directors of the Eastern Massachusetts chapter and is a certified Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeler through NARI (CKRB).
