About the Artist

Linda Cordner is a contemporary artist working in the Boston area. In the studio, Cordner works with many mediums including encaustic, oil, acrylic, and watercolor. One of her favorite things to work with is wax - the translucence is perfect to convey the ethereal qualities of the landscape and atmosphere that she captures in her paintings. Inspired by nature, her surroundings, the atmosphere and the ocean, Cordner’s paintings are reflections of her observations or feelings about these things as well as walks in the woods or along the beach.

Linda Cordner has been an exhibiting artist for over 15 years and has her BFA from the University of Connecticut. Cordner’s work has been shown in galleries and museums around the country including the Hunterdon Museum of Art (Clinton, NJ), Provincetown Art Association & Museum (Provincetown, MA), Ice House Gallery at Monmouth University (West Long Branch, NJ), Cape Cod Museum of Art (Dennis, MA), and MassArt’s Annual Benefit Art Auction (Boston, MA).
