New England is home to some of the nation's leading art schools and as a result is home to an ample amount of gifted emerging artists. This show, curated by gallerist and writer Michael Rose in collaboration with Dryden Gallery at Providence Picture Frame in North Providence, Rhode Island, will offer viewers the opportunity to discover some of the fresh talents that make up a rising generation of local artists. Visit the show to learn more about what is happening now and next in the region. Works in a range of media will be on view and 25% of the proceeds of sales from the show will be donated to a visual arts non-profit in support of emerging artists.

 

About Michael Rose

Michael is a visual art professional with over a decade of experience managing galleries, curating exhibitions, and writing about art. The gallery manager of the historic Providence Art Club since 2014, Michael also edits New England Art News, a popular weekly newsletter for artists throughout the region that boasts over 1,400 subscribers. Since 2021 he has also written the weekly art column for local news site GoLocalProv.com. Michael earned his BA in Art History at Providence College and his Certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts from New York University. Of the show Michael says, "I am delighted to collaborate on this exhibition with Liz Kelley and the entire team at Dryden Gallery / Providence Picture Frame. Emerging artists represent the next generation of makers in our community and I appreciate Dryden giving me the space to celebrate these talents".
